  1. Boyd, this is an incredible journey you're going on and I'm already so proud of you. I'm proud of you for stripping away all the material stuff in life and really searching for what life means to you. I'm proud of you for looking at life and wanting to be the best Boyd you can be. Most of all I'm proud of you because you've taken fear and kicked in the behind and told it to buzz off. Healing is yours.......not only because you want it but also because you're living it. May God walk with you always, and continue to carry you as He already has.

    1. Thank you Julie,

Your words are an inspiration to me. Thank you for allowing me into your home and being my friend. I would not have been able to get this web site going id it were not for you. It is one of the most important tools for my journey. I needed to have the ability to thank the people who have helped me along the way just as you and John have. Love you both dearly. God bless

  4. Hello! I was inspired by the article in our local newspaper in Gibsons and want to tell you what a brave and compassionate person you are to care about yourself so much that you would create such a challenge for yourself. Bravo!! I just met a master yogi while traveling into the southern part of California U.S. this month. In the short brief time I was with him, he, like yourself realized that the best part about growing and learning is to take better care of ourselves, to achieve the highest form of health and mental well ness. I am sure you will find all these things on your most magnificent journey. I have posted your blog info on my Twitter and Facebook page. As the Executive Director of Educators for Sensible Drug Policy I am always looking for people who shine a brilliant light for youth to see that they're many ways to find 'natural highs'. I condone the full legalization/regulation/taxation of cannabis however, and believe our kids do not belong in prison for using cannabis. We need to take the crime out of cannabis, my letter along with many other LTE's have been published on this subject. As former Principal for a K-12 school, teacher for 2 decades I understand fully how you needed to cope with your mental health. Our organization wants to teach youth, educators and parents a scientific health/wellness and evidenced based approach to drug education. You are a walking example. Thank you. I'll check in now and then, hopefully we can set up a dialogue as you meet and greet youth from across Canada. Stay well, stay safe, I'll be thinking of you. regards, Judith Renaud Gibsons, B.C. 604-886-8665 judith_renaud@dccnet.com www.facebook.com/EFSDP and http://twitter.com/JudithRenaud Happy Trails Boyd!!

    1. Hi Judith,

This journey is definitely inspiring for me. I to believe that we should take the crime out of cannabis. I believe that it as a natural pain killer and is only a plant. It is hard to find the words to explain how amazing the natural high is of the beauty this country has to offer those who would take the time to experience it. This is a very beautiful country with very beautiful people. Everyday I am feeling closer to my higher power and an regaining my faith in myself and humanity. Thank you for your comment and I wish you the best.

  5. Boyd,

I'm Colette; and my ex student and now dear friend just filled me in on you two comets 'colliding'. She IS the best cook in our circle, Boyd and one of the loveliest people I know. Another friend of mine, just completed the Pacific Trail and I have a renewed respect for those who choose to walk through their grief, confusion or whatever else has motivated them to. I wish you big courage and we will keep up with your journey. Know you are being cheered on by my daughter and myself.

  6. Hey Boyd,
Hello from Arizona, I heard about your journey from the boys back home. I hope you find what you are looking for my friend and if you feel the need to turn right, walk youself down here and the door will always be open, You are strong. I wish half the people that go through lifes challenges challenged life back the way you are.
Keep me informed of where you are and remember the journey doesn't always have a positional ending, most times the mental ending to a journey is what it was all about.

    Good Luck my friend.

    1. Mr. McGarry,

How the heck are you. It's been a long time. Hope things are going well for you and your beautiful family. You are so correct. This is definitely all about my mental well being. Having the opportunity to take the time to think about things and to get past them is a blessing. Sometimes to much thinking but always a good time to reflect. I am meeting a lot of wonder people and seeing a lot of beautiful sights. Take care my friend. Sorry it took so long to reply, but I am in the mountains and don't get service a lot. I am hoping to upload my videos soon, but have to wait for free wifi.
